The Self Shooting camera course is an introduction to filming with broadcast cameras.
This course is aimed at those who are new to self-shooting, and are looking to develop, their skills.
This 2 day course will cover all of the essentials self-shooting, giving you the skills and hands on experience to start filming with confidence. The skills learnt on this course can be applied to any camera or shooting format. With a mix of theory and practical exercises the course will provide a solid grounding in the skills you need to get shooting.

Interlaced and Progressive filming 50i 25p - The use of different cameras, the right tools for the job
- PSC/ENG Single sensor and 3 Chip cameras explained
- PSC broadcast standard equipment and how to use it
- Tripod and handheld operating

Through a series of classroom learning and practical exercises, participants will learn how to frame and operate the camera, both handheld and on the tripod, record good quality sound and shoot sequences, enabling the participant to feel confident to shoot in most situations.

The location is at the Bridge Innovation Centre in the beautiful county of Pembrokeshire West Wales, it’s 3.5 hours from London, 5 hours from Manchester, 1.40 from Cardiff, accommodation is easily available in the area, and the course is usually held on a Thursday/Friday
